The Sales Process
Initiate. Develop. Enhance. Reece discusses the very complex blueprint of the sales process by breaking it down to a few simple steps. By breaking through the complexity and still doing all the right steps, the process becomes more applicable to your everyday life.
The Importance of Communication in Sales
Blue represents communication. In sales, authentic communication promotes trust, which is the most important thing you can to establish between you and your buyer. By putting communication at the forefront of our company, we gain the trust of our clients and get rid of the stigma of how the world sees salespeople.
Be genuine, honest and willing to listen, and the trust will build itself!
Shoot Your Shot
Don’t be afraid to “shoot your shot” - you’ll miss 100% of the shots your never take. In sales, it’s easy to trick yourself into thinking that people are ignoring you, are not interested and are annoyed that you are reaching out and trying to engage with them. Stop it! The world needs more authentic engagement.
But, people are busy; people are distracted and most of all, they do not know you! Be strategic in your approach and continue building value with each contact (call, voicemail, email). Once the value is there - you can no longer be ignored and the relationship will take off!
Dealing with Rejection in Sales
Episode 1 of How to Create Leverage is all about dealing with the rejection that you will face in sales, business and life in general. As someone who has dealt with a lot of rejection throughout my career and life - the best advice I can give is this:
Do not take it PERSONALLY, but DO take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Often times, the person (or people) doing the rejecting, are not rejecting you as an individual. They are rejecting the product, the service, the message, the value, etc. Take personal responsibility and get better - but don't take it so personally.
